Single & En Suite Private Rooms

Brambles provides comfortable, homely accommodation for a maximum of 28 older people. All rooms are single. 22 rooms have en suite facilities - either WC and hand basin or full bath / shower facilities. The home is equipped with a passenger lift and a stair lift which serve our first floor rooms. All individual private rooms are equipped with a nurse call facility, TV and telephone sockets. Modern furnishings create a light and spacious atmosphere and clients are welcome to personalise their rooms with small items of furniture, photographs, pictures and items of special meaning to help make the surroundings feel like home from the very beginning. Most of our client rooms offer either views across our gardens or further afield to the surrounding countryside and the North Downs. There are also a number of assisted bathrooms and Wet Rooms for assisted or independent showering and bathing. All of the homes toilet facilities are equipped with suitable adaptations to promote ease of use for our clients to maximise independence. There are two comfortable lounge areas and a quiet lounge where residents meet to chat with friends, read, play games, join in with an assisted activity and enjoy the entertainment that is arranged from time to time. All communal rooms offer level access to our large landscaped gardens.

Delicious Home Cooking

Delicious home cooked food is prepared on the premises and our chef uses fresh local produce wherever possible to produce a varied and wholesome menu. A choice of menu is available each day and clients are encouraged to contribute menu suggestions to ensure that our range of options meets our client’s tastes. Special dietary requirements are fully catered for. Our kitchen produces a wide variety of homemade cakes and desserts to tempt and stimulate appetites.

Large Landscaped Gardens

Brambles is located within a large garden on the fringes of the village. Our gardens offer level paths, patios and shaded lawned areas that enable our clients to easily enjoy the outdoor experience. Garden furniture consisting of tables chairs and garden benches are regularly sited to encourage residents to walk around outside, to sit and enjoy the quite location and to observe the planting and local wildlife that inhabits the garden. Green fingered clients are able to indulge their hobby with other likeminded residents and take pride in maintaining the colourful pots and planters.

Private Hairdressing Salon

Brambles offers a fully equipped hairdressing salon to enable our clients to look their best. Appointments may be booked with our hairdresser who visits the home weekly and by arrangement. Brambles is also visited regularly by a range of other health and wellbeing professionals including an exercise trainer, dentist, opticians, chiropodist, and music therapist. A range of additional wellbeing therapies including aromatherapy, massage and beauticians are available and visits to Brambles can be arranged by individual appointment.

24 Hour Care By Trained Staff

Personal support is responsive to the varied and individual needs and preferences. The delivery of personal care is individual and is flexible, consistent, reliable, and person centred. Staff respect privacy and dignity and are sensitive to changing needs.

The service listens and responds to individuals' choices and decisions about who delivers their personal care. People are supported and helped to be independent and can take responsibility for their personal care needs. Staff listen and take account of what is important to them.

Varied Social & Recreational Activities

The service actively encourages and provides imaginative and varied opportunities for people using the service to develop and maintain social, emotional, communication and independent living skills where appropriate.

The service has very strong and highly effective methods, which focus on involving residents in all areas of their life, and actively promotes the rights of individuals to make informed choices, providing links to specialist support when needed. This includes developing and maintaining family and personal relationships.
