Brambles provides comfortable, homely accommodation for a maximum of 28 older people

All rooms are single. 22 rooms have en suite facilities – either WC and hand basin or full bath / shower facilities. The home is equipped with a passenger lift and a stair lift which serve our first floor rooms. All individual private rooms are equipped with a nurse call facility, TV and telephone sockets.

With highly trained staff on hand 24hours a day, and a high ratio of staff to residents, you will enjoy personalised care centred on you, unrushed and based around ensuring you feel well cared for and comfortable.

Small family home with a dedicated team mean that every resident has named carers, who know you as a whole person – not just your physical needs, but your personal preferences, your background and your family.

If your loved one would now benefit from moving to a warm and friendly home where they’ll have round-the-clock attention, look no further. We pride ourselves on tailoring everything we do to your loved one’s needs and preferences so they can continue to enjoy a great lifestyle. However, they and you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing that an experienced carer is only seconds away. Whether your loved one is still involved in a community group, likes to get up late, or wants their room laid out in a particular way, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate their aims and preferences. Brambles offers 28 characterful and homely rooms, with charming features, and a lively social life.

As well as superb activities, entertainment and outings, we serve up delicious and nutritious menu options; bedrooms are beautifully furnished and individually decorated, and your loved one is welcome to bring treasured items to help them feel at home. We’ll take care of your loved one’s cleaning and laundry and our discreet care team is on hand to help your loved one with personal care – bathing and dressing – if they need it.

We welcome residents for short term respite care or step-down care, to help you after a stay in hospital, or give you a home from home when needed. We also offer day care tailored around your needs – perhaps regularly whilst a family member is at work, or occasionally if your usual carer has other commitments.
The staff are very friendly, caring and kind. My mother has settled in very quickly and appears to be in very good spirits. I had heard very good reports from neighbours, who tell me that their relatives had been very well cared for.

Dad was always happy at Brambles Care Home. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing good support to the family. This was especially true as Dad approached the end of his life. He always enjoyed the food.

‘My mother has been receiving end of life care for over 7 weeks at Brambles Care Home. Everyone of the staff we have met have been thoroughly supportive in meeting our needs and those of my 92-year-old mother. She is very weak and frail but the specialist care team have made sure that she is comfortable safe and warm. Her hygiene needs are met on an extremely regular basis and all this is recorded on a daily sheet which we can review with the staff at any time. Brambles have allowed us to visit in person but we have to have a lateral flow covid test before entering the home. We have had nine of these and although these are time-consuming and an extra to their regular duties the staff have always met us with a smile on their faces and always greet us with words of encouragement. During this time, they have also kept us up to date with my mother’s condition by phone and by email. I cannot fault anything that they have done neither can I think of anything else they could have done. Thanks’.

My father has spent over a year at Brambles Care Home. During this time he has been well looked after and cared for. All the staff are kind and caring and have catered for all his needs. The home is very friendly, the food is all home cooked and of excellent quality. The home provides plenty of activities and visitors and relatives are all made to feel welcome.

My father has been there for a number of years. I always feel he is being well looked after. The staff are always helpful and everyone has a positive attitude. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for somewhere to be looked after in a kind and respectful way.

My mother has been a resident at Brambles Care Home for nearly five years. Throughout this time, they have communicated well, and all members of staff have been friendly, cheerful, kind, patient and caring. Initially, my mother was encouraged to be as independent as possible but as her health deteriorated, the staff have adapted mum’s care plan to cover her additional needs, allowing her to stay in the place that she now regards as home. We (her children) are so grateful to the staff at Brambles for their continuing care and kindness.
