It’s a role where you happily go the extra mile to make a difference to the lives of older, frail people. In return, you get excellent support, quality training and fast-track career opportunities.
Do you have a few hours a week you could spare to visit some of our residents? Perhaps you have a desire to “give back” to the community?

‘My mother has been receiving end of life care for over 7 weeks at Brambles Care Home. Everyone of the staff we have met have been thoroughly supportive in meeting our needs and those of my 92-year-old mother. She is very weak and frail but the specialist care team have made sure that she is comfortable safe and warm. Her hygiene needs are met on an extremely regular basis and all this is recorded on a daily sheet which we can review with the staff at any time. Brambles have allowed us to visit in person but we have to have a lateral flow covid test before entering the home. We have had nine of these and although these are time-consuming and an extra to their regular duties the staff have always met us with a smile on their faces and always greet us with words of encouragement. During this time, they have also kept us up to date with my mother’s condition by phone and by email. I cannot fault anything that they have done neither can I think of anything else they could have done. Thanks’.

My father has spent over a year at Brambles Care Home. During this time he has been well looked after and cared for. All the staff are kind and caring and have catered for all his needs. The home is very friendly, the food is all home cooked and of excellent quality. The home provides plenty of activities and visitors and relatives are all made to feel welcome.

The staff are very friendly, caring and kind. My mother has settled in very quickly and appears to be in very good spirits. I had heard very good reports from neighbours, who tell me that their relatives had been very well cared for.

My father has been there for a number of years. I always feel he is being well looked after. The staff are always helpful and everyone has a positive attitude. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for somewhere to be looked after in a kind and respectful way.

Dad was always happy at Brambles Care Home. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing good support to the family. This was especially true as Dad approached the end of his life. He always enjoyed the food.
Andrew Macey, Son of Resident
My mother has been a resident at Brambles Care Home for nearly five years. Throughout this time, they have communicated well, and all members of staff have been friendly, cheerful, kind, patient and caring. Initially, my mother was encouraged to be as independent as possible but as her health deteriorated, the staff have adapted mum’s care plan to cover her additional needs, allowing her to stay in the place that she now regards as home. We (her children) are so grateful to the staff at Brambles for their continuing care and kindness.
